Cable-Driven Mechanisms
Cable-driven mechanisms are objects with a cable routed through them to perform specific movements. FilaLoom can 3D print such mechanisms by routing a yarn through printed objects.

Embedding yarn in a 3D print can create structures which move in a specific manner when pulling on the yarn.
They are fabricated by routing a yarn through the object, then clamping the yarn in place in both ends.
They can also be used to create interactive textiles.
